The “MERGE CONTACTS” feature allows you to combine multiple records of the same contact into a single profile. This tool is ideal for removing duplicates, organizing your database, and consolidating all information into one record.
⚠️ Important: Contact merging is a permanent action and cannot be undone once confirmed.
When should you use the “MERGE CONTACTS” feature?
It is recommended to use this feature in the following situations:
When there are duplicate records for the same person.
When a contact’s information is spread across multiple records.
When you want to keep your database clean, organized, and up to date.
How to Merge your Contacts?
Step 1: Access the Contacts Module
From the left-side menu, click on “CONTACTS” under the Marketing section.
Step 2: Search for Duplicate Contacts
Use the search bar to locate the contacts you want to merge. Make sure the records belong to the same person before proceeding.
Step 3: Select the Contacts to Merge
Check the boxes for the contacts you want to combine. Once selected, the system will enable the “MERGE CONTACTS” button at the top of the page.
Step 4: Click on “MERGE CONTACTS”
Click the “MERGE CONTACTS” button to begin the process. The system will open a confirmation window showing the selected contacts.
Step 5: Choose the Primary Contact
Inside the confirmation window, select which contact will be the primary contact.
The primary contact will be:
The record that will remain active.
The profile that will store the information from the other contacts.
The final contact profile that will remain in the system.
Step 6: Confirm the Merge Conditions
Before continuing, you must check the confirmation boxes:
Confirm that all selected contacts belong to the same person.
Accept that the action is irreversible.
Acknowledge responsibility for the changes made.
Step 7: Complete the Merge Process
Click the “SUBMIT” button to complete the process.
Once the request is submitted, the system will display a confirmation message indicating that the merge was completed successfully.
Merge Result
After completing the process:
The selected contacts will be combined into a single record.
The primary contact will keep the consolidated information.
The remaining records will no longer exist as independent contacts.
